Wealthy Rollo T readway ( Buster Keaton) suddenly de cides to pro pose to his nei ghbor across th e street, Be tsy O& ;#39;Brien ( Kathryn McGu ire), and s ends his ser vant to boo k passag e for a ho neymoon sea cruise to Honolulu . When Betsy r ejects hi s sudden o ffer however, he decides to go on the tr ip anyway, boa rding wi thout d elay that night. Bec ause the p ier num ber is partia lly covered, he ends up on the wrong ship, th e Naviga tor, which B etsy&am p;#39;s rich father ( Frederick Vro om) has just sold to a small country a t war. A gents fo r the other sma ll nation in th e confl ict decid e to set th e ship ad rift th at same nigh t. When Betsy& amp;#39;s fat her chec ks up on the ship, he is capt ured and tie d up by the saboteurs. Betsy he ars his cry fo r help and boards the ship to look for h im, just bef ore it is cut l oose. The Nav igator drift s out int o the Pacific Ocean. Th e two unw itting pas sengers eventually f ind each other . At fi rst, they have great di fficulty lookin g after themselves, but adapt after a few weeks. A t one poin t, the y sight a navy shi p and hoist a brightly-co lored flag, not re alizing i t signals tha t the shi p is under qu arantine. As a result, t he other vessel turns away. Fina lly, the ship grounds itself near an inhabite d tropical is land and sprin gs a lea k. While Rollo dons a deep sea diving suit and submerges to p atch th e hole, the black native s canoe out and tak e Betsy captive . When Rollo em erges from the ocean, the nati ves are scare d off, en abling him to rescue Betsy and tak e her back to the ship. The natives return an d try to board the ship. After a fierce st ruggle, Rollo and Betsy try to e scape in a sm all dinghy. I t starts to sin k, and the natives swiftly overtake the m in their c anoes. Ju st when all seems lost , a navy sub marine surface s right under neath them an d they are sa ved.详情
