George Harvey B one is a compos er in early 20 th centur y London, w ho is u nder str ess bec ause he is writing a pi ano con certo. When he finds him self after the black out in a different qua rter of the town, he ret urns home , to read in t he paper that s omebody i n that quarte r was mu rdered. Asking help from a doctor at Scotlan d Yard he is a ssured that he has nothin g to do wi th it, but he is advise d to cut back in hi s work and ge t some relaxat ion like other , ordinar y people. At a cheap mus ical he meets Netta, a singe r, who i nspires him for a ne w motive for his conce rto. But Netta discov ers that th is motive c ould also be us ed as a song fo r her. The son g gets so ld, and she hangs arou nd George to ge t more songs out of him.
