Wealthy Rollo Treadway (Bu ster Keaton) s uddenly decid es to propos e to his neig hbor acros s the str eet, Betsy O&a mp;#39;Brien (Kathryn Mc Guire), and sends his servant to book pa ssage for a hon eymoon sea cr uise to Honolul u. When Bets y rejects his sudden o ffer how ever, he decides to go on the trip anyway, boardin g without de lay that night. Be cause the pie r number i s partially co vered, h e ends up on the wrong ship, the Navigato r, whi ch Betsy& #39;s rich father (Fre derick Vroom) has just sold to a small c ountry at war. Agents for the o ther sma ll nation i n the conflic t decide to set th e ship adrift that sa me night. When Betsy&# 39;s fat her checks up on the shi p, he is ca ptured and tied up by the sabot eurs. Betsy hears his c ry for help and boards the sh ip to look for him, ju st before it i s cut loose . The Nav igator drifts o ut into the Pacifi c Ocean. The two unwi tting passenger s eventuall y find each o ther. At fi rst, the y have great d ifficulty lo oking after t hemselves, but adapt af ter a few weeks. At one po int, they sight a na vy ship and hoist a b rightly-co lored flag, not realizing it sign als that the s hip is unde r quara ntine. As a result , the other vessel tur ns away. Fina lly, the ship grounds itself near an in habited tropi cal island and sp rings a leak . While Ro llo dons a dee p sea di ving suit and submerge s to patch the hole, the b lack natives ca noe out a nd take Betsy captive . When Rollo emerges from t he ocean, the natives a re scare d off, en abling him to rescue Bets y and ta ke her b ack to t he ship. The natives r eturn and try to board t he ship. Aft er a fierc e struggle, Rollo and Betsy t ry to escape i n a small dingh y. It starts to sink, and the natives s wiftly overtak e them in their canoes. Just when all seem s lost, a navy submarine surf aces right u ndernea th them a nd they are saved.详情
